Understanding Blogs
People who enjoy writing blogs often go through three stages:
Stage One: When first encountering blogs, it feels novel, and they experiment by writing on a free platform.
Stage Two: Realizing the limitations of free platforms, they purchase a domain and hosting to create an independent blog.
Stage Three: Managing an independent blog becomes too cumbersome, so they opt to let someone else handle the technical aspects while retaining control and focusing solely on writing.
As we generate more and more data online, these pieces of information become the traces of our existence on the internet, deserving our serious attention. However, they are often scattered across different websites, making it difficult to consolidate them. Additionally, the way these sites organize information is beyond our control. This is why we need a personal space that we fully own—a blog.
Through a blog, we can document our lives and growth. Unlike the fragmented nature of Twitter or the relationship-centric design of Facebook, a blog is a private space.
